Speaker Sadiq emphasized the deep-rooted Pakistan-Iran relationship, anchored in shared history, culture, and religious bonds, noting that the fraternal ties between the two nations continue to grow stronger.
He condemned Israel’s aggression against Iran as a clear violation of international law, warning that such actions pose a grave threat not only to regional stability but to global peace.
While welcoming the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel, the Speaker stressed that the world urgently needs peace, not conflict. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent role in promoting regional stability and highlighted its firm response to Indian aggression, citing New Delhi’s destructive role during the Iran-Israel conflict.
“The collusion between India and Israel has been exposed before the world,” Sadiq stated, urging Iran to reassess its relations with India due to New Delhi’s failure to condemn Israel’s attack on Iran. He also lamented the heart-wrenching tragedy of over 50,000 Palestinian lives lost to Israeli brutality, underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with oppressed Muslims worldwide.
The Speaker reiterated Pakistan’s full support for Iran, noting that the National Assembly was the first to pass a resolution in Iran’s defense. During the 2025-26 budget session, more than 200 lawmakers voiced solidarity with Tehran.
Sadiq further denounced Israel’s provocations as a blatant breach of the UN Charter and international law, calling on the global community to take immediate action to preserve regional peace.
He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing parliamentary and economic cooperation with Iran, emphasizing that legislative engagement can strengthen mutual trust and people-to-people ties.
Ambassador Moghdam thanked Pakistan’s leadership, Parliament, and military for their steadfast support, noting Tehran’s deep appreciation for Islamabad’s diplomatic backing at international forums. He asserted that Israel’s attack aimed to sabotage Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and praised Pakistan’s constructive role in fostering regional stability.
Both sides pledged to deepen parliamentary collaboration and work jointly toward peace, development, and prosperity in the region.
